If you have a passion for film making, an upcoming and highly anticipated workshop will surely hone your acting and directing skills!

Now on its third year, the Brillante Mendoza Film Workshop (BMFW) will be a 7 day intensive training from March 28 to April 3, 2016, at Center Stage Productions 947 Busilak St. Barangka Drive, Mandaluyong City.

Brillante Mendoza is a prolific Filipino filmmaker who has been recognized internationally for  indie movies that revolve around social issues such as poverty, violence and real life tragedies. In 2009, he won Best Director at the Cannes Film Festival for the movie "Kinatay", a film about a police academy student who becomes part of a gang that butchers a woman. His latest film, "Taklub" (Waray word for "cover")  which shows the struggle of Yolanda stricken victims, gained acclaim in major film festivals worldwide last year.

ACTING WORKSHOP (FOUND ACTING)

  •  A 7-day intensive workshop from 9am-5pm, inclusive of lunch and afternoon snacks
  • Each participant is expected to act in the short film made by the directing workshopper at the end of the workshop

DIRECTING WORKSHOP

  •  with introduction to Cinematography, Production Design, Editing
  •  A 7-day intensive workshop from 9am-5pm, inclusive of lunch and afternoon snacks
  • Each participant is expected to create a short film at the end of the workshop
  • Each participant is expected to bring his/her own laptop for editing purposes.

  15. This sounds interesting.. but i heard that cinematography is a bloody..i'll be needing enormous dose of passion for these kinds.. hehehe.. I'd like to try acting though.. ;)

  17. When I was in college, this has always been part of my dream.. I used to envision myself as a director and I will direct a lot of films, mostly drama haha.
    This must be an interesting workshop for film director aspirants
