Make Dishes More Flavorful with Ajinomoto’s Sarysaya Oyster Sauce

When it comes to food, we Filipinos love our sauces. We also enjoy dishes that are flavorful and easy to make.
It is fitting then that Ajinomoto Philippines, a leading name in the food industry, has come up with Sarsaya® sauces that add the right blend of flavor to your dishes. Sarsaya® Oyster Sauce and Sarsaya® Sweet and Sour Sauce are two of these sauces.
To announce the launch of Ajinomoto’s Sarsaya® Oyster Sauce, a press conference was recently held with its celebrity endorser, Mr.Coco Martin was held at Madison 101 hotel. I was fortunate to be part of this event. To be honest, was my first time attending a press conference and I didn’t  quite know what to expect.
At the start of the event, Pen Alvina, Ajinomoto’s Category Manager for Menu Seasonings described “Sarsaya® Oyster Sauce as a unique brand that is created to suit Filipino taste and preference, making Filipino dishes like ginisang kangkong and adobo more flavorful.”

During the event, there was a live cooking demonstration and cook-off by Chef Mchyan Rodrigo. Chef Mac  skillfully prepared two interesting dishes, Ginisang Kangkong with Tokwa and Thai Style Fried Chicken.

Some mommies got to join the cook-off too with primetime idol Coco where they used the handy Sarsaya® Oyster Sauce to make their dishes extra special and more flavorful.

We also got a sample of the Ginisang Kangkong with Tokwa. I must admit, for a simple dish that costs roughly P25, it was quite tasty. More amazingly, it can make four (4) servings.
Sarsaya® Oyster Sauce is concentrated from real oysters and richly blended with seasonings to give what Coco  described as “lasang oyster na oyster”.
Sarsaya Oyster Sauce comes in 30g and 156g stand-up resealable pouches. This means handy and no-mess cooking for us moms. On the other hand, for the sweet-spicy blend of pineapple and tomato flavor, Sarsaya® Sweet and Sour Sauce is available in 200g stand-up pouch.

In the Q & A, Mr. Coco Martin shared that he enjoyed going to the market and cooking with his grandmother. He also revealed that Beef Broccoli in Oyster sauce, Ampalaya con Carne and Kangkong in Oyster sauce are his favorite dishes.

The photo op made everybody thrilled to take pictures with Mr. Coco Martin. After all, it is quite rare to meet the Primetime King up close and personal.

All smiles for Berlin & I with  the charming Mr. Coco Martin
I came home grateful for the experience and excited to try these sauces to make our dishes more savory and our cooking experience definitely more enjoyable.
